VOCAL ZONES
CELEBRATING OVER 30 YEARS IN THE BUSINESS!
There are many talent shows promising the young, talented and not so talented their big break into the music industry. But there are not many that are driven by a desire to invest in the next generation, rather than their own bank accounts.
VOCAL ZONES was founded in 1995 by British singer/songwriter /Producer Audrey Beharie who wanted to be able to support the raw and up and coming UK talent by helping and guiding them in the area of singing & performance skills in which they could enhance their vocal ability without actually changing the natural, God-given essence. With nearly 40 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry under her belt, Audrey has a plethora of experience to call upon. Audrey is a former "Miss Afro West-Indies" titleholder and an ex fashion model who trained at the London Academy of Modeling, in London, UK by renowned celebrity modeling coach, writer and body language expert, Judi James, who has trained some of the big names in the industry including the likes of supermodel, Naomi Campbell. She has also worked as a Promotions Coordinator at MCA where she worked intimately with some of the most prolific international artist on their roster. Audrey is also an accomplished singer/songwriter who was signed by PWL Records (the label responsible for Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue, Bananarama, Jason Donavon, Bananarama to name just a few) and then signed to a major recording contract at Polydor Records. After this, Audrey went to work at the private London offices of Sir Paul McCartney and the late Linda McCartney and later formed her own production company - B.R.E Productions, record label - Inner City Groove Records and recording studio - Hourglass Studios in London, UK. Audrey was able to acquire invaluable wealth of information about the industry and eventually went on to own her recording studio, production company and label where she developed and nurtured young people in all aspects of songwriting, production and studio skill in the quest to create and revive the excellence of good songwriting. By bringing personal enhancement goals and skills using strong moral values, giving each young person a sense of pride, achievement and belonging. She explained her mission. My mission is to empower each individual to realize their full potential. I intentionally keep my performing arts sessions affordably priced to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn the skills of the craft and become the best version of themselves. God has gifted us with talents, and I feel blessed and inspired to create Vocal Zones as a space to unlock each person's true worth. These talented individuals often feel invigorated by the sense of control and discipline they gain, which boosts their confidence not only in the performing arts but also in the world around them. Whether they pursue performing arts professionally or simply use these skills as a tool for personal growth, my goal is to help them discover their innate strengths and embrace their unique journey with faith, purpose, and renewed self-belief Audrey says With many decades in the industry, I carry a deep conviction—rooted in my Christian faith and values—that those of us who’ve walked this path must use our experience not just for personal success, but for purpose. I believe God has gifted me with creativity, compassion, and a calling, and it’s through His guidance that I’m able to mentor, coach, and uplift others. As you know, the entertainment industry can be a dangerous place, often overshadowed by sinister and exploitative overtones that can devalue young artists and leave them questioning their worth. That’s why I am committed, with integrity, to providing a nurturing, faith-led space where young performers are seen, valued, and equipped to succeed. By fostering discipline, confidence, and character through music, dance, and drama, I aim to help each student realize their full, God-given potential. My goal is to make a lasting, positive difference in their lives and contribute to a healthier, more authentic industry—where talent is celebrated and young artists are protected, valued, and empowered to thrive. As the buzz around Vocal Zones grew, Audrey was quickly inundated with talented individuals of all ages and abilities who wanted to be a part of this unique showcase which opened its doors to all genres of performing arts. She goes on to state, It’s often disheartening to turn on the radio and hear much of the music filled with negativity or derogatory lyrics. In a world that can sometimes seem dark and broken, I believe we have the power and responsibility to nurture talented songwriters and producers who can help cleanse the industry—creating music that is positive, meaningful, and Spirit-filled. I am committed to providing a safe platform for my students—a kind of graduation celebration—that not only recognizes their talent but also inspires them to acknowledge the gift from GOD that they have been freely given, and to be beacons of hope and light in the industry. Having spent many years in this field, I was disappointed to see a lack of successful industry veterans giving back and uplifting the next generation. My vision is to foster a new wave of artists who carry a message of faith, love, and purpose, reminding us all that even in the darkest times, there is always a divine light guiding us toward hope, healing, and transformation. |
Audrey knows that confidence, integrity and fulfillment is the ethos behind the work that VOCAL ZONES have been working towards.
Role play is another part of their development utilizing the performing arts to help self expression, self-assuredness and pride. Even though Audrey ran things on a shoestring budget she still managed to create a variety of showcase brands including THE VOCAL ZONES TALENT SHOWCASE, THE VOCAL ZONES TALK OF THE TOWN, THE VOCAL ZONES TALENT QUEST, THE VOCAL ZONES TALK OF THE TOWN SHOWCASE and THE VOCAL ZONES BLACK HISTORY SHOWCASES where performers are given love, encouragement and support from audiences, reflecting the passion that Audrey has for her art. To date, Vocal Zones have staged in excess of 55 shows and counting!! Also, in addition to the Vocal Zones brand, Audrey launched “THE MISS TEEN DREAM and LITTLE MISS DREAM” Pageants which introduced a new perspective on the Pageant scene encouraging natural wholesome beauty with no restrictions (race, ethnicity, size, height or weight). Each and every young girl has the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful experience and enhance confidence and self-image. The MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT SYSTEM was launched in September 2013 which mirrored and replicated the amazing work achieved in the UK and was honored and privileged to have been chosen by the major TV network - LIFETIME TV - to be featured twice in Season 1 Episode 7 and the Season 2 Premiere Episode on their smash reality series "KIM OF QUEENS" which stars KIM GRAVEL. Audrey takes a very principled approach to running her projects and is determined to avoid the risk of investors altering her vision. “I’m really not prepared to give anything up in terms of integrity and where the path of Vocal Zones should be heading. I believe in faith and I know that God helps me to do whatever needs to be done.” Her faith is not only driving her but also the large number of students and performers that have taken part in Vocal Zones over the years. Many have gone on to successful careers in the industry as artists, songwriters, producers, TV acting work, acceptance into some of the UK’s most prolific performing arts schools and performing in some of London’s finest West End stage productions including “Cats”, “Lion King”, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, “Annie Get Your Gun” among others have gone ahead to be signed to major recording contracts, publishing and management deals, received full scholarships to top performing arts academies and have appeared on TV, the Theater and all performing arts avenues. All these artiste have attributed their success to being involved in the VOCAL ZONES program. Audrey’s devotion to music is unquestionable From a young age, I have loved music, singing, and dancing—ever since I was a little girl of about five years old - Truly MY HAPPY PLACE! I STILL vividly remember prancing around my bedroom with a hairbrush in hand, pretending it was a microphone, and tapping out rhythmic drum patterns on the dining room table with pure joy - just like it was yesterday! This passion has been a guiding force in my life; I truly feel that I was born to do this. It is my purpose and calling—to share the gift of music and movement with others. There is nothing more fulfilling than doing what you love and seeing others ignite with the same enthusiasm and confidence. It’s a profound blessing to be able to turn my lifelong love into a meaningful journey of inspiring and empowering others through the arts. I know this may sound cliche, but I genuinely believe that God uses me in this position to inspire and uplift the next generation through the gifts He’s given me. I’ve spent over 40 years in the music and entertainment industry as a singer, songwriter, and coach—but my journey begins as a little girl, singing and dancing with a hairbrush in hand in front of the mirror, already feeling His joy and purpose in my heart. Music has always been a backdrop and His blessing over my life, and I am called to continue sharing that joy and passion with others. I understand how powerful the arts can be in building confidence, healing hearts, and helping children discover their true identity in Christ. Everything I do flows from my faith, and I trust that in this role, He continues to use me to speak life, love, and purpose into the children I serve, guiding them toward their divine potential and His unending grace. However, she is very quick to remind her students to have something to fall back on. Talent is a gift that never truly diminishes; it remains within us, waiting to be nurtured and cultivated. When paired with education and rooted in faith, that talent becomes a powerful tool—bestowing you with heightened mental clarity, wisdom, and spiritual discernment. This divine combination equips you to recognize challenges and potential pitfalls before they materialize, guiding you to make wise, purpose-driven decisions. With faith as your foundation and knowledge as your guide, your innate gifts can lead you confidently along a path of integrity, growth, and lasting impact. Audrey’s advice is a simple one! Remain persistent and resolute. Hold firmly to your God-given vision and stay committed to your goals. Be practical in your approach, pursue your dreams with determination, but remember to stay on the narrow and righteous path. There are no shortcuts to lasting success—every easy route often comes with its own consequences. True fulfillment comes through perseverance, integrity, and staying true to what truly matters. And, as the year came to an end, B.R.E PRODUCTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC was launched in December 2013 and is now the home of VOCAL ZONES USA, MISS TEEN DREAM USA and FASHION 4WARDZ which brings under one roof an amazing and incredible array of music, talent, performing arts, pageantry, fashion, design and an entire catalogue for fantastic, inspirational and empowering events that family-orientated, positive and uplifting! Audrey says, VOCAL ZONES is my heartfelt contribution, and I am truly humbled and blessed by God to have the opportunity to work with these talented young individuals—our true "Stars of Tomorrow." And now, as VOCAL ZONES extends its roots back to the UK, we are poised to recreate that magic once again, igniting new dreams and inspiring the next generation to shine bright! |
